Ethernet Cable Strain Relief

This clamping strain relief holds ethernet cables in position behind a rack, NVR, hub or modem. It can sometimes be important to put the cables back to the same positions when reconnecting and this clamping strain relief helps to achieve that. It holds each cable in position while at the same time providing strain relief through the collective stress of all the cable connections. Whether you are unplugging one connection or all connections from your hub or NVR this device is helpful in managing and restraining the cables. Should work with most cables and will provide some gentle clamping on most CaT5e and CAT6 cables.

The 10x (10 slot) model allows 10 cables to be held which I use as 8 camera connections and 1 LAN connection. I am including configurations of 10x, 8x, 6x and 4x.

  • Strengthened the pivot axle by increasing the diameter. I found it was relatively easy to break if you tried.
  • Added cable retention to the slots making it much easier to load the clamp. Previously cables would be difficult to hold in place while loading it.
  • Reduced the total amount of material needed to make by increasing the diameter of the holes through the main body.

Assembly

The latches are designed to snap on at a 90-degree angle to the main body. Then once rotated down they are locked in. The other end snaps locked and can be unsnapped with a mild upward force on the tab.

My primary distribution site for my design files is Thangs.com. Thangs is leading the way in promoting designers and competition amongst designers which in turn fuels the growth of high-quality 3d printable designs for the benefit of our entire community. The competition on Thangs, unfortunately, necessitates designers limiting the availability of free designs for a limited time. As a result, some of my designs are only available for free for 1 week from when first posted, so please download them when you see a new file available that you are interested in.

I do not permit the use of my designs for commercial purposes (i.e. you can not sell my design(s) or products printed from my design(s)) without first acquiring a commercial license from me. On Thangs.com I offer membership accounts for access to all my design files as well as a second membership for commercial licensing which allows subscribers to sell my printed products using my designs commercially.
